FAQs

Assessments & Coaching

How will I learn more about myself?

As pre-work, each participant will take a 360 feedback assessment, DiSC self-assessment, and a StandOut self-assessment to increase their self-awareness, clarify their strengths, and identify development opportunities.

What support will I receive to support my development?

Each session in the WomenUp program is structured around common areas for development based on research. The 360 assessment will collect feedback that aligns with the program’s topics so that the participant can engage in each session with the understanding if the particular topic is considered a strength or an area for them to focus on improving. During the program, each participant will receive an executive coach to help them understand their feedback and develop a personal action plan. Post-program, each participant will be enrolled in three months of text-based mobile coaching to reinforce learning.

How will Executive Coaching work?

Each participant will be assigned an executive coach to work with them during the course of the program. The program includes three one-hour executive coaching sessions. The sessions will be scheduled with the following objectives:

  • Initial coaching session: Discuss self-perceptions, debrief assessments, and develop an action plan.

  • Mid-point check In: Approximately half-way through the program, the participant and coach will meet to discuss progress against the action plan, successes, challenges and on-going development.

  • Final coaching session: In the final month of the program, the participant and coach will meet to discuss progress against the action plan, key learning points and take-ways from the program, and on-going development.

Participants can request continued coaching if desired to support their personal development through the WomenUp program.

Participant and Employer Commitments

What will participants be required to do to participate in this program?

The WomenUp program will provide a rigorous path to development. Participants and their employers should consider the time needed to benefit from the program. To be fully engaged, participants will need to set time aside to:

  • Complete pre-program assessments (360, DiSC, StandOut) estimated to take a total of one hour.

  • Participants must be willing to ask their leader, peers, and direct reports for feedback using the WomenUp 360 assessment.

  • Two full day, in-person sessions will kickoff and close the program. Attendance at these session is required. Dates are on the session WomenUp Schedule page.

  • Monthly 3-hour virtual sessions. Dates are on the WomenUp Schedule page.

  • Three 1-hour executive coaching sessions during the course of the program to be scheduled between the participant and coach.

  • Pre- and post-session reading and assignments will require less than one hour.

  • Total time per month commitment is four hours (not considering the opening and closing sessions).

Participants will learn as much from each other as they do from the speakers, facilitators, and executive coaches, but only if they fully engage. To fully engage, we require that all participants commit to the following:

  1. Check program dates to ensure they can meet each session.
  2. Accept meeting planners for the full six-months prior to the kickoff session.
  3. Commit to being on-time to each session.
  4. Commit to engaging in each session with dialogue.
  5. Commit to participating in virtual sessions with video-on for full engagement.
  6. Commit to being distraction free with devices off.
  7. Complete pre-reading, pre- and post-work to enable full participation.
  8. Complete pre-assessments prior to deadlines.

If there is an urgent matter impacting engagement or attendance to a session, participants should notify the WomenUp facilitator in advance to ensure that group discussions and assignments are productive and well-balanced.
